In addition to travel distance and charging, battery replacement costs are also a consideration for many when it comes to purchasing an electric car. To provide transparency and convenience to customers, VinFast has updated the high-voltage battery prices for its electric vehicle line-up, effective from August 1, 2024.
Unsurprisingly, the battery for the VinFast VF3 urban electric car is the most affordable, with the Gotion battery priced at 75 million VND.
Following the VF3 is the VinFast VF5, with its Gotion battery priced at 80 million VND. For the VinFast VF e34 electric car, the Gotion/SDI battery costs 120 million VND. Compared to the VF e34, the VinFast VF6 has a more affordable battery price of 90 million VND.
For the VinFast VF7, the battery prices are 149 million VND for the VinES battery and 200 million VND for the CATL battery. Meanwhile, the VinFast VF8 has battery prices of 203 million VND for the SDI battery and 210 million VND for the CATL battery.
The VinFast VF9, being a premium SUV, has the highest battery prices. The SDI battery for this model is priced at 500 million VND, while the CATL battery is even more expensive at 528 million VND.

Additionally, VinFast has also disclosed the repair costs for electric vehicle batteries, effective from August 1, 2024. This table includes repair costs for various components such as the positive BDU, negative BDU, master BMS, fuses, battery case, and battery bottom, among others.
Among these, the cheapest repair cost is for the VF e34’s Pyro fuse, at 8.535 million VND. The most expensive repair is for the VF8’s battery case, costing 43.998 million VND. The repair cost for the VF9’s battery case is slightly lower, at 43.099 million VND.

VinFast Electric Vehicle Repair Cost List effective from August 1, 2024.
On August 1, 2024, VinFast delivered the first 99 VF3 units to domestic customers. With this addition, VinFast now offers a total of 7 electric vehicle models, including the VF3, VF5 Plus, VF e34, VF6, VF7, VF8, and VF9. In July 2024, VinFast also launched upgraded versions of the VF5 Plus and VF8, featuring new colors and enhanced features.
In the first half of this year, VinFast delivered 21,747 electric vehicles to global customers, a growth of 92% compared to the same period in 2023. Specifically, in the second quarter of this year, VinFast sold 12,058 units, a 24% increase from the first quarter and a 26% increase year-over-year.
Furthermore, VinFast inaugurated a dealership and launched the VF e34 and VF5 models in Indonesia just months after entering the market. The company also entered Thailand and the Philippines, started deliveries in Europe, established a presence in the Middle East, broke ground on a factory in India, and expanded its global sales network.
