Select Toyota dealerships in Vietnam have recently started taking orders for the new Land Cruiser Prado, with expected deliveries towards the end of this year.
According to sales consultants, the vehicle’s price will fluctuate around 3 billion VND. For early delivery, customers may have to pay an additional 500 million VND, or even up to 700-800 million VND depending on the vehicle’s scarcity.
The price gouging of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2024 mirrors that of its older sibling, the Land Cruiser LC300, which is also a highly sought-after Toyota model with lengthy wait times.
The Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2024 sold in Vietnam is likely to be imported directly from Japan. The first batch will mostly consist of black vehicles, with white options being more limited.
To differentiate it from the LC300 and other Land Cruiser models already on the market, the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2024 may be renamed to Land Cruiser LC250 for the Vietnamese market.
The Land Cruiser Prado 2024 boasts a rugged, masculine design with impressive features. It offers either round or rectangular LED headlights, depending on the trim level. The square taillights accentuate the corners of the vehicle’s rear end. Notably, the rear door can be opened in two ways: by opening just the glass section or the entire door.
In terms of interior features, the vehicle is equipped with a digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a head-up display (HUD), a 14-speaker audio system, digital rearview mirrors, a sunroof, wireless phone charging, push-button start, electronic parking brakes, and auto brake hold, among other conveniences.
Under the hood, the Land Cruiser Prado 2024 destined for the Vietnamese market is expected to be powered by a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine producing 276 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel-drive system.
