The VinFast VF3, a small-sized urban electric car, has been on sale in Vietnam since May 2024. On August 1, 2024, VinFast held an event to deliver the first 99 VF3s to Vietnamese customers.
However, at this time, the VinFast VF3 cannot be charged at home and can only be charged at charging stations. This is because the handheld charger for the VF3 will not be available for purchase until the end of August 2024.
According to recently revealed information, the handheld charger for the VinFast VF3 will be priced at VND 6 million. The charger is expected to go on sale on August 20, 2024.
As announced by the manufacturer, it takes 5 hours to charge the VinFast VF3 battery from 10% to 70% using a slow AC home charger. The corresponding time when using a fast DC charger at charging stations is 36 minutes.
The VinFast VF3 battery is a lithium-ion type with a usable capacity of 18.64 kWh. This allows the car to travel up to 210 km on a single full charge.
Recently, VinFast also updated the high-voltage battery prices for its electric vehicle line, effective August 1, 2024. The Gotion battery for the VF3 is priced at VND 75 million, the most affordable in the VinFast family. The most expensive battery is for the VinFast VF9, priced at VND 500 million for the SDI battery and VND 528 million for the CATL battery.
The VinFast VF3 in Vietnam is only available in one version, priced at VND 240 million if the battery is rented and VND 322 million if the battery is included. For customers who purchase the car without a battery, VinFast offers a battery rental policy with three options: VND 900,000 per month for traveling less than 1,500 km; VND 1,200,000 per month for traveling between 1,500 and 2,500 km; and VND 2,000,000 per month for traveling more than 2,500 km.
Vinhomes residents who own a VinFast VF3 will have the exclusive privilege of free parking and charging at Vinhomes parking lots for the next two years, as well as priority parking allocation if space is available.
