The Dodge Viper ACR is an iconic high-performance sports car, and the Snakeskin ACR Edition is an even more exclusive version, with only 31 units produced globally. Recently, images surfaced of this limited-edition Dodge Viper ACR bearing a new license plate, indicating that it may have found a new owner in Vietnam.
Specifically, the car was spotted with the license plate 30M-000.12, a change from its previous plate, 51K-980.23. This suggests that the car may have changed ownership, and the new plate was reportedly auctioned for just 40 million VND (approximately $1,700 USD). The new plate also interestingly bears the number 12, matching the car’s serial number out of the 31 produced.
Prior to this development, the Dodge Viper ACR Snakeskin ACR Edition was reportedly offered for sale by a showroom for up to 20 billion VND (approximately $850,000 USD). This particular edition stands out with its optional Extreme Aero package, which includes removable components such as a lip spoiler, front splitter, rear wing, rear diffuser, and hood vents, priced at $6,900.
Beyond its performance, the Dodge Viper ACR Snakeskin ACR Edition makes a statement with its unique exterior. The green paint job is accented by a snakeskin pattern running down the center of the car, from front to back. Carbon fiber components, such as the hood vents and side splitters, add to its aggressive aesthetic.
The Dodge Viper ACR is renowned for its advanced aerodynamics, featuring a massive rear wing, large side air vents, and additional components from the Extreme Aero package. At top speed, the car can generate up to one ton of downforce, keeping it firmly planted on the road.
The car sits on Mopar ACR Venom 7-spoke wheels with a lightweight design and a black matte finish. These 19-inch wheels are wrapped in Kumho Ecsta V720 ACR tires, specifically developed for the Viper ACR. Behind them sit massive red Brembo Carbon Ceramic Matrix brakes, providing exceptional stopping power.
Powering this beast is a naturally aspirated 8.4-liter V10 engine, one of the largest commercially available engines in the world. Without the need for turbocharging or supercharging, this engine produces a staggering 645 horsepower and 813 Nm of torque.
The Dodge Viper ACR also comes equipped with a Tremec TR6060 6-speed manual transmission, which has been improved over the previous generation for better shift feel and stronger gear teeth. This powerful combination enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 332 km/h.
