According to Hyundai dealers, the Hyundai Grand i10 – the best-selling compact A-segment car in the Vietnamese market at the moment – will introduce a new version this weekend.
Specifically, many Hyundai dealers posted information “Welcoming the king of the small car segment on June 15”, along with an image of a low-riding hatchback. With TC Motor confirming that the Hyundai Grand i10 is in the process of preparing to launch an upgraded version, it is almost certain that the car mentioned by Hyundai dealers is the facelift version of the Hyundai Grand i10.
“The facelifted Hyundai Grand i10 is expected to have no significant changes in price. Customers will be able to test drive the car at the launch event at the dealership,” said a sales representative at a Hyundai dealership, adding that they have started taking deposits for this A-segment model.
Dealers confirmed that the updated Hyundai Grand i10 will be released this week. |
Based on the images of the grille and LED daytime running lights, it can be seen that the mid-life upgrade of the Hyundai Grand i10 in the Vietnamese market will have a design similar to the Indian market version.
Specifically, the hatchback variant of the Hyundai Grand i10 is equipped with a new-style grille, expanded horizontally, and combined with two relatively large air intakes. In addition, the hatchback variant of the Hyundai Grand i10 also features new LED daytime running lights, instead of the boomerang-style of the current version.
The sedan variant of the Hyundai Grand i10 also has significant changes to the front of the car with a new grille, connected to the air intakes by a comma-shaped LED daytime running light strip.

The body of both variants remains unchanged from the current generation. The rear of the sedan variant has no significant changes, while the hatchback variant of the Hyundai Grand i10 will have a rear light cluster that runs across the body.
In the Indian market, the Hyundai Grand i10 still retains the 1.2L 4-cylinder Kappa gasoline engine, producing 83 horsepower and a maximum torque of 114 Nm.
Since it is a mid-life upgrade, the upcoming Hyundai Grand i10 for Vietnamese customers is unlikely to have many changes inside the cabin. In the current version, this A-segment model is equipped with a 3-spoke steering wheel with cruise control buttons, an 8-inch central entertainment screen, manual air conditioning, and leather-covered seats.
In the Indian market, the hatchback variant of the Hyundai Grand i10 is priced between $7,080 and $10,235, while the sedan variant is priced between $7,760 and $10,822.

The Hyundai Grand i10 is currently one of the three rare models in the low-riding A-segment car market in Vietnam, along with the Toyota Wigo and Kia Morning. Before the launch of the upgraded version, the Hyundai Grand i10 was sold in Vietnam with a total of 6 versions, priced from 360 million to 455 million VND.
The Kia Morning, assembled in Vietnam, has a total of 6 versions, priced from 349 million to 424 million VND. Meanwhile, the Toyota Wigo, imported from Indonesia, is distributed in the Vietnamese market with 2 versions, priced at 360 million and 405 million VND, respectively.
After the first 5 months of the year, the Hyundai Grand i10 is the best-selling A-segment car chosen by Vietnamese customers with 1,889 units sold. Toyota Wigo ranked second with 987 units sold in the same period, while Kia Morning had a sales volume of 320 units.
