The Jaecoo J6 EV is now available in Thailand with two options, priced at VND 775 million and VND 880 million respectively.

Recently, the Chery Group announced the launch of the off-road SUV Jaecoo J6 EV with a right-hand drive version in the Thai market. The vehicle is offered in two variants: the Long Range 2WD priced at 1.099 million baht (approximately VND 775 million) and the Long Range 4WD at 1.249 million baht (around VND 880 million).

Thai customers who purchase the Jaecoo 6 EV will be entitled to a range of attractive incentives, including an extended warranty of up to 8 years or 200,000 km, free physical insurance for the first two years, 24/7 rescue services for 5 years, and a complimentary home charger. Additionally, the first 1,000 customers to own this SUV before November 30, 2024, will receive a Garmin Forerunner watch as a gift.

The J6 is a compact SUV with a boxy design, targeting customers who enjoy off-road experiences or long-distance journeys.

Its dimensions are impressive, measuring 4,406 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width, and 1,715 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,715 mm. These measurements are comparable to popular C-segment SUVs/CUVs in Vietnam, such as the Mazda CX-5 and Hyundai Tucson.

The front of the vehicle features a striking design with vertical LED headlights connected by a closed grille. The center of the grille proudly displays the Jaecoo brand name in a distinctive stylized font.

At the rear, the taillights mirror the front design. The J6 also features a unique horizontal opening for the trunk instead of the traditional vertical layout seen in other SUVs.

Inside, the Jaecoo J6’s cabin stands out with a two-tone color scheme. The centerpiece is a large 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a crystal-shaped drive mode selector knob.

The digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel displays essential vehicle information. The sporty, flat-bottomed steering wheel features scroll wheels for easy control. The shift lever is conveniently integrated behind the steering wheel, and the second-row seating offers ample legroom and a flat floor for added comfort. Additionally, the SUV comes with a panoramic sunroof.

The Jaecoo J6 EV offers two powertrain configurations. The Long Range 2WD version is equipped with a single electric motor that produces 184 horsepower and 220 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 65.69 kWh battery pack, delivering an impressive range of up to 371 km on a single charge, as per the WLTP standard.

On the other hand, the Long Range 4WD variant boasts a more powerful setup with two electric motors, generating a combined output of 279 horsepower and 385 Nm of torque. This model is fitted with a larger 69.77 kWh battery, resulting in a slightly lower range of around 364 km.

Both variants support fast DC charging at 60 kW, enabling a quick charge from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes.

According to Chery, the Jaecoo J6 will be introduced in Vietnam next year. While the brand has not disclosed specific details about the version that will be sold in Vietnam, it is likely that the pricing will be higher than in Thailand, ranging from VND 900 million to VND 1 billion.
