In August 2024, Czech brand Skoda is offering attractive discounts on their Karoq and Kodiaq models. Unlike the previous month, Skoda is now offering cash discounts instead of registration fee reductions.
Specifically, the Skoda Karoq sees a price reduction of 110 million VND on the Ambition 1.4 TSI variant and 80 million VND on the Style 1.4 TSI variant. Post-discount prices for these versions stand at 889 million VND and 1.009 billion VND, respectively. With these new prices, the Skoda Karoq is now more competitively priced against rivals in the same segment, such as the Mazda CX-5 (740-979 million VND), Hyundai Tucson (769-919 million VND), and Ford Territory (799-929 million VND).
Meanwhile, the Skoda Kodiaq receives a substantial discount of 130 million VND on the Ambition 1.4 TSI variant and 50 million VND on the Style 2.0 TSI variant. Post-discount prices for this D-segment SUV are 1.059 billion VND and 1.359 billion VND, respectively. As a result, the Kodiaq is now price-competitive with rivals such as the Toyota Fortuner (1.055-1.35 billion VND) and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport (1.13-1.365 billion VND).
Additionally, both Skoda models come with an extended warranty of 5 years or 150,000 km, whichever comes first. On top of that, customers will receive a range of genuine accessories, as well as one year of physical damage and civil liability insurance, which cannot be exchanged for cash.

These official discounts are valid for the Skoda Karoq and Kodiaq models during August 2024.
The accessory package for the Skoda Kodiaq Ambition 1.4 TSI includes pedal and footrest pads, door sill protectors, side steps, and floor mats. The two Karoq versions come with a similar accessory package, plus a set of 4 alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the Skoda Kodiaq Style 2.0 TSI is only offered with rear seat headrests as an accessory.
The Skoda Karoq and Kodiaq were launched in the Vietnamese market in September 2023. However, they have yet to make a significant impact due to uncompetitive pricing, a design that may not appeal to all tastes, and a relatively unknown brand.
As announced earlier this year, Skoda plans to introduce two more models to the Vietnamese market in 2024. These are expected to be the Skoda Kushaq, a B-segment SUV, and the Slavia, a B-segment sedan. Both of these new models are anticipated to be more affordable than the Karoq and Kodiaq.
