Since the beginning of August 2024, a series of automotive brands have announced new promotional programs, including Toyota, Honda, Subaru, Nissan, and Skoda. Haval, a Chinese brand, has also joined the festive atmosphere of offering discounts this July in the lunar calendar.
Accordingly, in August 2024, the Haval H6 SUV is offered with a discount of up to VND 146 million. After the discount, the price of this Chinese model is only VND 840 million, which is cheaper than some B-segment SUVs such as the Honda HR-V and the Toyota Corolla Cross. Moreover, compared to its direct competitor, the Honda CR-V e:HEV RS, priced at VND 1,259 billion, the Haval H6 is a more affordable option with a price difference of up to VND 419 million.
The Haval H6 isn’t the only C-segment SUV with promotional programs this August. There are also offers available for the Honda CR-V, Subaru Forester, and Mitsubishi Outlander, which come with registration fee discounts, while the Skoda Karoq sees a price reduction of VND 80-110 million depending on the variant.
The Haval H6 was officially introduced to the Vietnamese market in August 2023. Initially, the car was priced at VND 1,096 billion. In January 2024, the listed price of the Haval H6 was reduced to VND 986 million to enhance its competitiveness.
The Haval H6 sold in Vietnam is imported from Thailand and belongs to the highest trim level. It is also one of the two hybrid models in the C-segment SUV segment, alongside the Honda CR-V.
The “heart” of the Haval H6 is its hybrid powertrain, which consists of a 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder gasoline engine and an electric motor, delivering a combined output of 240 horsepower and a maximum torque of 530 Nm. According to the manufacturer, the H6 has a fuel economy of 18 km/l (approximately 5.5 l/100 km). In addition, the SUV offers four driving modes: Standard, Sport, Eco, and Slippery.
Besides its fuel-efficient engine, the C-segment SUV boasts a wide range of convenience and safety features. Notable highlights include LED lighting all around, 19-inch alloy wheels, a power tailgate with four opening and closing modes, leather upholstery, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, a head-up display, wireless phone charging, and an automatic dual-zone climate control system with air purification and ion generation functions, as well as a panoramic sunroof.

Currently, the Haval H6 is the brand’s sole offering in Vietnam. This August, Haval is expected to launch another new model in the Vietnamese market, the Jolion. Imported from Thailand and positioned in the B-segment SUV category, the Haval Jolion is anticipated to have an attractive starting price of under VND 700 million.
