MG7 is set to officially launch in Vietnam at the end of August, after several delays.
The vehicles are currently being delivered to dealerships, and sales consultants have started taking deposits for this model.
MG7 is expected to be priced between 700 and 800 million VND, according to dealership sources. There will be two versions available in Vietnam, the STD and LUX, which may also have different engine options.
MG7 is the fourth model that the MG brand has introduced in Vietnam. It is positioned in the D-segment sedan category with dimensions of 4,884 x 1,889 x 1,447 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 2,778 mm. In Vietnam, it will compete with the likes of the Toyota Camry, Kia K5, Honda Accord, and Mazda6.
MG7 boasts a sporty, sleek, and modern design. The front of the car features a striking triangular LED headlight design with dual LED strips on the inside, accompanied by side air intakes that enhance its athletic stance. Depending on the configuration, it will be fitted with either 18-inch or 19-inch alloy wheels, paired with 225/50 or 245/40 tires.
The rear of the car makes a statement with its distinctive connected LED taillights, a subtle trunk lid spoiler, and four oval exhaust tips split evenly on both sides. The top-tier version will feature black logos on the car’s flanks, an active rear spoiler, and an exclusive British Green exterior color.
In terms of interior, the MG7 offers a spacious 5-seat configuration. The cabin exudes a modern and luxurious ambiance, rivaling that of premium German marques. It features a fully digital 10.25-inch instrument cluster, a prominent 12.3-inch central infotainment screen, and a head-up display.
This D-segment sedan also comes equipped with a Topload glass roof, an intelligent Zebra Luoshen 8155 cockpit system, a panoramic sunroof, and a 14-speaker audio system.
When it comes to safety, the MG7 is packed with advanced driver-assistance systems, including a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, lane change assist, intelligent Navigation Guided Pilot, remote parking, and automatic parking.
It is unclear which engine will be offered with the MG7 in Vietnam. In China, the car is available with two gasoline engine options: a 1.5L turbocharged engine mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, producing 183 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque; and a 2.0L turbocharged engine generating 254 horsepower and 405 Nm of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission from ZF, electronic differential, and electronic suspension control, also with front-wheel drive.
Both versions come with four driving modes: Normal, Eco, Sport, and X-MODE.
