In July 2024, the MG7 made its debut on the streets of Vietnam. Today, these Chinese automobiles have started arriving at domestic dealerships.
As per the plan, the MG7 will be officially unveiled by the end of August this year. MG dealerships in Vietnam are now taking reservations for this model.
The MG7 is the fourth new car that the MG brand has introduced in Vietnam in less than a year. Previously, MG launched three models, including the New MG5, RX5, and MG4 EV, in the Vietnamese market.
Positioned in the D-segment sedan category, the MG7 boasts dimensions of 4,884 mm in length, 1,889 mm in width, and 1,447 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,778 mm. In Vietnam, it will compete against the Toyota Camry, Kia K5, Honda Accord, and Mazda6.

It is unclear which engine will power the MG7 in the Vietnamese market. In China, the car offers two gasoline engine options: a 1.5L engine producing 180 horsepower, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and a 2.0L turbocharged engine generating 262 horsepower, mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission.
No information on the MG7’s engine for the Vietnamese market.
According to a sales consultant at the dealership, the MG7 is expected to have a starting price of just over VND 700 million in Vietnam. If this information is accurate, it will be one of the most affordable D-segment sedans in the country.
