The 2024 Monterey Auto Week is officially underway as of August 16, 2024, and there are plenty of exciting vehicles on display. One of the standouts is the Lamborghini Temerario, the highly anticipated successor to the incredibly successful Lamborghini Huracan.
Of course, everyone wants a glimpse of the Huracan’s replacement, and Lamborghini did not disappoint its speed-loving fans. The Temerario’s design goes beyond expectations, and it also boasts an incredibly powerful PHEV powertrain.
The Lamborghini Temerario is a futuristic and aggressive-looking supercar, even outdoing its predecessor, the Lamborghini Revuelto. It is equipped with a hybrid powertrain, delivering a maximum output of 907 horsepower, a significant upgrade from the Revuelto’s 602 horsepower.
At the front, the Temerario features sleek, horizontal LED headlights with a captivating hexagonal LED daytime running light design, giving it a concept car-like appearance.
Moving to the side profile, the Temerario showcases vertical air intakes, dual-spoke alloy wheels, and a unique rear diffuser that doesn’t extend to the sides, showcasing the tires. The rear also features hexagonal exhaust tips and LED taillights.
A small glass panel between the engine cover and the roof lets sunlight into the cockpit. Similar to its siblings, the Gallardo and Huracan, the Temerario has scissor doors with handles placed lower, like the Gallardo.
Inside, the Temerario shares a similar dashboard layout, featuring a configurable digital instrument cluster, a vertical touchscreen, and a start button on the fighter jet-inspired center console. The flat-bottom steering wheel incorporates driving mode selectors and EV buttons.
Drivers can choose from four driving modes: the new Citta (City) mode, the familiar Strada mode, and the upgraded Sport and Corsa Plus modes. There’s also the option to disable ESP for a more thrilling experience.
The Temerario also includes a drift mode with three settings to accommodate different skill levels. If you want to showcase your drifting skills or just have some fun, you can record your exploits using the Lamborghini Vision Unit with three cameras capturing the road, in-car, and over-the-shoulder views.
Finally, the Lamborghini Temerario is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, producing 789 horsepower at 9,000-9,750 rpm. This is complemented by three electric motors contributing an additional 118 horsepower, resulting in a combined output of 907 horsepower. According to Lamborghini, the Temerario can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 343 km/h.
