A recent social media post has revealed an array of supercars that the “King of Coffee,” Dang Le Nguyen Vu, will be bringing to the Gumball 3000 event.
The Vietnamese coffee magnate is set to display 18 stunning vehicles at the starting point in Ho Chi Minh City. These include the Bugatti Veyron, Ford GT, Ford GT ’67 Heritage Edition, and 15 Ferraris – a true feast for automotive enthusiasts.
Although Dang Le Nguyen Vu, the chairman of Trung Nguyen Coffee Group, will not be participating in this year’s supercar journey, he has generously sponsored Gumball 3000 2024 with £200,000. Additionally, the Trung Nguyen coffee brand will accompany the Gumball 3000 on its global journey, further promoting Vietnamese coffee culture.
The world-renowned Gumball 3000 2024 is set to commence on September 14th, with Ho Chi Minh City as its chosen starting point, aiming to showcase the beauty and charm of Vietnam to the world.
This year’s event features the participation of 121 teams, numbered from 0 to 120, including some of the finest supercars and hypercars. As the event draws near, these incredible machines are being transported to Vietnam to prepare for the exciting cross-border journey.
The Gumball 3000 2024 itinerary takes participants on a thrilling journey through Southeast Asia, starting from Ho Chi Minh City, then on to Phrom Penh and Angkor Wat in Cambodia, Bangkok and Krabi in Thailand, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, and finally concluding in Singapore. The grand finale is a celebration of speed at the F1 Singapore Grand Prix, where the “Spirit of Gumball” cup will be awarded to the team with the most outstanding performance throughout the trip.
In addition to owning these exquisite vehicles, participants in the Gumball 3000 are also expected to contribute significant sums of money. The cost for each car, with two occupants, can reach up to £80,000.
The organizers also require participants to submit applications detailing their driving experience, expertise, and the cars they have owned or driven. Providing a compelling narrative of past journeys or races is essential, as applications lacking excitement may be rejected.
