The Lamborghini Aventador is an iconic mid-engined sports car produced from 2011 to 2022. The name ‘Aventador’ is derived from a fighting bull in Spain, known for its strength and power. As the successor to the Murcielago, the Aventador continues Lamborghini’s tradition of producing stunning supercars.
The Lamborghini Aventador has seen numerous iterations over the years, with almost 20 variants introduced in Vietnam through official and private imports. Among these, the standard coupe and roadster models are the most prevalent, alongside special editions such as the Aventador S, SV, and SVJ.
One of the rarest models, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster, has only seen 4 units imported into Vietnam, with just 2 bearing civilian license plates. Recently, one of these exclusive vehicles has been listed for sale, demanding a staggering 17 billion VND. For this price, the lucky buyer will acquire a white Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster with customized rims and an extensively modified interior.
This particular Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster boasts a white exterior, complemented by a black soft top and dual-spoke alloy wheels. The interior has been customized with new two-tone white and purple leather upholstery, along with a dashboard sourced from the Aventador SV model. Previously, the car also underwent an exterior transformation, donning the aggressive body kit of the Aventador SVJ, before being returned to its original state.
Prior to its current interior configuration, this Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster featured a striking orange and purple striped theme. The process of importing this car to Vietnam remains shrouded in mystery, only coming to light when a prominent businessman and orchid cultivator acquired it and registered it in Binh Phuoc province. After enjoying the car, the businessman sold it to a supercar dealer in Ho Chi Minh City, who then modified the interior and sold it to a young car enthusiast in Dak Lak province.
The car changed hands several times, eventually finding its way back to the original dealer, who gave it the full Aventador SVJ treatment, a highly sought-after modification at the time. In August 2023, the car was returned to its original specification and sold to a luxury car dealer in Hanoi. Earlier this year, it appeared that the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster had found a new owner in a relatively unknown female celebrity. However, just four months later, the car resurfaced with its previous owner, sparking rumors of a rental arrangement. The Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster is now back on the market with an asking price of 17 billion VND.
Unlike its coupe counterpart, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster features a dark-toned roof to contrast with the body color. The carbon fiber roof is divided into two removable panels, allowing the driver to enjoy open-top driving when desired. Each roof panel weighs approximately 6 kg and is secured by a latch located behind the seats. The front luggage compartment serves as storage for the roof panels when not in use. Another distinguishing feature of the Roadster is the addition of a small rear window behind the seats.
At the time of its launch, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster was also offered with a unique set of five-spoke alloy wheels, which have since been made available for the coupe model as well. Under the hood, the Roadster shares the same powerhouse as its coupe sibling.
The Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine that produces an impressive 690 horsepower at 8,250 rpm and 690 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. This potent powerplant is mated to a 7-speed ISR automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system, enabling the car to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 350 km/h. This particular example was also fitted with an aftermarket exhaust system.
