On August 20, 2024, VinFast officially launched its VF DrgnFly electric bicycle in Vietnam, with a price tag of VND 29.69 million. This e-bike was first introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024, held earlier this year in January. Compared to its price in the US market, which is listed at $2,599, the VinFast VF DrgnFly is significantly more affordable for Vietnamese customers.

According to VinFast, the VF DrgnFly’s design draws inspiration from the image of a flying dragon, a prominent symbol in Vietnamese culture. This e-bike features a wide handlebar, large tires, and an ergonomically designed saddle for a comfortable riding experience.

At the heart of this e-bike is a 750W electric motor integrated into the rear wheel, along with a single-speed gearbox and a torque sensor. This combination enables the VF DrgnFly to reach a maximum speed of approximately 45 km/h. The torque sensor adapts to each movement, detecting force changes up to 16,000 times per second.
