There are only 24 days left until the Gumball 3000 supercar event officially kicks off, and Le Loi Street in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, will be the starting point for the world’s largest supercar gathering. The organization is in full swing, including the transportation of supercars to Vietnam.
On the morning of August 22, 2024, numerous images of the first supercars participating in the Gumball 3000 event surfaced online, revealing their arrival in Vietnam. The cars were transported by plane and are currently stored in a warehouse at Tan Son Nhat Airport.
Images taken from the airport’s warehouse show three participating vehicles: the Brabus 800, a modified Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow pickup truck, and the Porsche 911 GT2 RS supercar. This is just a fraction of the 120 supercars expected to gather in the country.
It is unclear if the remaining supercars of the Gumball 3000 event have arrived at Tan Son Nhat Airport yet. Notable absentees include the Bugatti Chiron, Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport, Koenigsegg Regera with a carbon exterior, and a pair of Bugatti Chirons from Cambodia. It is uncertain if these vehicles will join the starting journey in Vietnam or remain in their home countries.
Additionally, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS of the 992 generation is unlikely to be available in Vietnam through official distributors. However, car enthusiasts in Vietnam will get to admire not one but two of these vehicles at the Gumball 3000 event in mid-September.
We will continue to provide updates on the Gumball 3000 event here.
