The Korean car brands currently present in the Vietnamese market, Kia and Hyundai, both have a presence in the low-riding A-segment. Hyundai recently unveiled a facelifted version of the Grand i10, featuring notable improvements in exterior design and safety features. Meanwhile, its compatriot competitor, the Kia Morning, is facing a challenging phase with less-than-impressive sales figures.

With this update, the Hyundai Grand i10 maintains its two variants and a total of six versions, with prices unchanged at VND 360-455 million. On the other hand, Kia also offers six versions of the Morning in Vietnam, priced from VND 349 million to VND 424 million.

Kia Morning Falls Short in Overall Dimensions

The Hyundai Grand i10 hatchback boasts dimensions of 3,815 mm in length, 1,680 mm in width, and 1,520 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,450 mm. In contrast, the Kia Morning measures 3,595 mm in length, 1,595 mm in width, and 1,495 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,400 mm. Both models are equipped with 15-inch wheels on their highest trim levels.

Overall, the Kia Morning falls short when compared to the Hyundai Grand i10 in terms of size. The Kia Morning’s compact dimensions even make it one of the smallest cars in the Vietnamese automotive market.

The Hyundai Grand i10 hatchback’s 1.2 AT version has received significant exterior updates. This model features a larger and redesigned grille to enhance cooling and maximize engine performance. The front and rear bumpers have been restyled for a sportier look, and the daytime running lights now feature a fishbone design instead of the previous boomerang shape.

On the other hand, the Kia Morning X-Line showcases Kia’s signature tiger-nose grille, seamlessly integrated between the main headlights. The daytime running lights are embedded within the main headlight clusters. The front bumper on the X-Line is finished in silver, complemented by black plastic cladding that extends to the wheel arches.
