Hyundai Dealers Offer Massive Discounts of Up to 850 Million VND on 2023 Hyundai Custin Models to Clear Stock

Despite being a prominent MPV model in the Vietnamese market, offering a range of modern features comparable to luxury vehicles, the Hyundai Custin has underperformed in sales. To attract customers, Hyundai dealers have recently introduced exclusive promotional programs for this model, offering discounts of up to 85 million VND.

At a dealership in Hoa Binh province, the 2023 Hyundai Custin Special Edition is priced at just 830 million VND, a significant reduction from the manufacturer’s suggested retail price of 915 million VND. This price point is only 20 million VND higher than that of its competitor, the Toyota Innova Cross petrol version.

As of the end of July 2024, the Hyundai Custin has sold 1,429 units, averaging 200 units per month. In comparison, the Toyota Innova Cross has achieved higher sales figures, reaching 2,334 units.

Introduced to the Vietnamese market in September 2023, the Hyundai Custin is available in three trim levels, with prices ranging from 850 million to 999 million VND. This MPV model boasts spacious dimensions, with a length of 4,950 mm, a width of 1,850 mm, a height of 1,725 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,055 mm.

The Hyundai Custin’s cabin features a three-row seating configuration with two business-class seats in the middle row. The front seats offer full power adjustments, heating, and cooling functions, while the middle row seats can recline up to 135 degrees. Additionally, these business-class seats come with 10-way power adjustments, heating, cooling, wireless phone charging, and a work table.

This Korean MPV also boasts a host of modern features, including a multifunction steering wheel with paddle shifters, a digital instrument cluster, a 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a navigation system tailored for Vietnam, a six-speaker audio system, and automatic climate control.

In terms of safety, the Hyundai Custin is equipped with a range of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), including six airbags, a 360-degree camera system, blind-spot collision avoidance assist (BCA), rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist (RCCA), safe exit assist (SEA), adaptive headlights (AHB), tire pressure monitoring, lane-keeping assist (LFA), forward collision avoidance assist (FCA), smart cruise control, and driver attention warning (DAW).

The Hyundai Custin is powered by two engine options: a 2.0L Turbo GDi gasoline engine producing 236 horsepower and 353 Nm of torque, and a 1.5L Turbo GDi gasoline engine delivering 170 horsepower and 253 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
