The 2025 Kia Carnival makes its way to Vietnam.

According to a sales consultant at the dealership, the 2025 Kia Carnival will be officially launched in the Vietnamese market in September this year. However, the diesel-powered version will be introduced first.

Vietnamese dealers are taking deposits for the 2025 Kia Carnival, expected to launch in September 2024.

The diesel version of the 2025 Kia Carnival is powered by a 2.2L Smartstream CRDi 4-cylinder, DOHC diesel engine that produces 199 horsepower and 441 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.

The diesel-powered 2025 Kia Carnival will be the first to arrive in Vietnam.

It is not yet known whether the 2025 Kia Carnival in Vietnam will have a hybrid version like those sold in other markets. The hybrid version of this MPV uses the same engine as the Kia Sorento.

Specifically, the 2025 Kia Carnival Hybrid will be equipped with a 1.6L turbocharged 4-cylinder gasoline engine, combined with an electric motor and a 6-speed automatic transmission. In total, this large MPV delivers 245 horsepower and 366 Nm of torque. According to the manufacturer, the fuel consumption is 13.5 km/l (7.4 l/100 km).

In addition to the new hybrid powertrain, the 2025 Kia Carnival also undergoes significant design and equipment changes. Adopting a new design language similar to other Kia models such as the EV9, Sorento, and Morning, this large MPV features a range of exterior improvements, including the “tiger nose” grille, front and rear bumpers, alloy wheels, headlights, daytime running lights, and taillights. Both the daytime running lights and the taillights are inspired by constellations.

The 2025 Kia Carnival sports a redesigned front end.

The rear of the vehicle showcases the new taillight design.

The interior of the 2025 Kia Carnival in Vietnam is expected to continue offering two seating configurations: 7-seater and 8-seater, similar to the current version. It wouldn’t be surprising if this MPV introduced new features such as a large curved display that integrates a digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch central touchscreen infotainment system, all seamlessly blended into the dashboard.

Additionally, the 2025 Kia Carnival in international markets is equipped with features such as power-adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation, second-row seats with relaxation functions and power-adjustable leg rests, a Bose 12-speaker audio system, tri-zone automatic climate control, smart keyless entry, push-button start, wireless phone charging, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof.

This MPV also boasts an impressive array of safety features, including a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane following assist, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.

The pricing of the 2025 Kia Carnival remains a mystery for now. However, it is predicted that the new model will come with a price increase compared to its predecessor.
