The “Chairman SUV” Century Makes Its Global Debut in September 2023
At the time, Toyota teased a high-performance GRMN configuration for speed enthusiasts to order.
Now, Toyota Chairman Akio Toyoda has announced that the GRMN version will be mass-produced to make it accessible to global customers.
This is not just a regular high-performance GR configuration but a racing version, typically offering the most formidable performance compared to all other configurations of the Century SUV.
The high-performance version will undoubtedly feature design upgrades and an improved engine. Currently, the standard Toyota Century SUV is equipped with a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) V6 3.5L powertrain, delivering 406 horsepower, paired with a CTV automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
The new Toyota Century SUV is currently only available in two markets: Japan and China. Therefore, the GRMN version will likely be exclusive to customers in these two countries.
The Toyota Century SUV starts at 25 million yen (approximately 4.28 billion VND). The high-performance version will surely carry a much higher price tag.
