The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a popular choice for hotels and restaurants as a guest shuttle, and it’s also surprisingly agile if you take it for a spin around the Virginia International Raceway at 80 km/h.

But Brabus wanted to take it to the next level, and being the renowned tuning company that they are, they introduced the Brabus 800 – a supercharged version of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class with more power than your average supercar.

Many customers have embraced Brabus’ vision, and one enthusiastic car enthusiast from the USA took it a step further. He spent 2.5 billion VND to participate in the Gumball 3000 with his Brabus-tuned Mercedes-Benz E-Class. It’s important to note that this amount of money could buy a Porsche 911, but this individual chose to do something extraordinary by taking the Brabus 800 on the world’s largest supercar journey instead.

This special Brabus 800 has just arrived in Vietnam and is currently at Tan Son Nhat Airport’s warehouse. Aside from being tuned from a Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the car also stands out with its eye-catching, colorful decal wrap. Moreover, its power has been upgraded to a staggering 789 horsepower, surpassing that of most supercars.

Specifically, Brabus fitted the latest AMG 4.0-liter V8 engine with larger turbochargers and reinforced crankshafts that deliver 23.2 psi of maximum boost pressure (1.4 psi more than standard). They also modified the ignition and fuel injection systems, resulting in an additional 186 horsepower and 110 lb-ft of torque without any major modifications.

The tuned Mercedes-Benz E-Class now boasts a maximum output of 789 horsepower at 6,700 rpm (200 rpm higher) and a peak torque of 737 lb-ft at 3,600 rpm. Brabus added custom exhaust pipes with ceramic-coated tips, lowered the air suspension by 0.8 inches, fitted 21-inch wheels, and installed Formula 1-style rain lights on the rear diffuser.

The interior of the Brabus-tuned Mercedes-Benz E-Class has been refreshed with red and black quilted seats and silver seat belts. Brabus also offers the option to retain the original interior or just install the wheels and body kit for those who feel their 603-horsepower sedan is already fast enough. According to Brabus, their tuned car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds, and the top speed is limited to 300 km/h.
