Suzuki US125: A Classic and Elegant Scooter, Poised to Become Suzuki’s Sales Leader in Vietnam
In an effort to refresh their motorcycle lineup, Suzuki has announced the upcoming launch of the US125 scooter in September. This new model, developed and produced in collaboration with Chinese motorcycle company Qingqi, is expected to be a key player in Suzuki’s sales strategy in Vietnam.
Leaked images on Baidu reveal a design reminiscent of the iconic Vespa, with soft curves, square headlights, and shiny chrome accents. The US125 boasts a luxurious, seamless seat with a unique almond shape, providing a comfortable and stylish riding experience. Its flat floorboard offers ample legroom, while turn signals integrated into the side panels and a central Suzuki logo enhance its elegant aesthetic.
The Suzuki US125 is equipped with a 125 cc air-cooled engine, delivering 9.2 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 10 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. Images also reveal a front disc brake and a rear drum brake setup.
According to leaks, the US125 will be offered in three versions, with the top-of-the-line model featuring an anti-lock braking system (ABS). With an estimated price of 8,000 Chinese yuan (approximately 28 million Vietnamese dong), the Suzuki US125 is positioned to be a strong competitor to the popular Honda Vision scooter in the Vietnamese market.
