Glamour Auto Boutique: Bringing the Tesla Cybertruck to Indonesia

The much-anticipated Tesla Cybertruck has arrived in Indonesia, thanks to Glamour Auto Boutique – a renowned importer and distributor of CBU automobiles based in Pondok Indah, Jakarta. This cutting-edge electric truck has been imported directly from the USA and is now available for purchase at Glamour Auto Boutique, sporting a sleek Brushed Silver color and a price tag of approximately 5 million rupiah (~8.1 billion VND).

“This futuristic vehicle, which has sparked global conversations since its debut, can now be experienced firsthand by automotive enthusiasts at our showroom,” shared Sigit Tedi, Business Director of Glamour Auto Boutique.

Mr. Sigit further added that the presence of the Cybertruck in Indonesia is expected to excite automobile lovers, especially those intrigued by the evolving trends of electric vehicles and future technologies.

The Tesla Cybertruck boasts an impressive size compared to conventional pickup trucks such as the Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, or Mitsubishi Triton. With a length of 5,683 mm, a width of 2,032 mm, and a height of 1,796 mm, along with a wheelbase of 3,635 mm, the Cybertruck has a substantial road presence. Its weight varies between 3,009 kg and 3,129 kg, depending on the configuration.

The design of the Cybertruck is a bold departure from traditional pickup trucks, featuring sleek stainless steel bodywork with flat surfaces. Its unique appearance draws inspiration from the submarine car featured in the 1977 James Bond film, “The Spy Who Loved Me.”

Known for its robust construction, the Cybertruck’s stainless steel body is claimed to be bulletproof, and its windows are “armor glass,” capable of withstanding impacts. This powerhouse of a truck offers impressive towing capabilities, ranging from 3.4 tons to 6.8 tons, depending on the variant.

Step inside the Cybertruck, and you’ll find a minimalist interior with a central 18.5-inch touchscreen, a 9.4-inch rear passenger entertainment screen, and a panoramic glass roof. The steering wheel has a distinct three-spoke design, and the truck is equipped with a premium 15-speaker audio system, 120/240V charging ports, two wireless phone chargers, USB-C connectivity, an advanced air filtration system, and a glass roof.

While the exact variant of the Cybertruck that has arrived in Indonesia is unclear, we do know the specifications of the different versions offered in the USA. The rear-wheel-drive model provides a range of 400 km on a single charge, while the all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant can go up to 547 km. The AWD version also impresses with its acceleration, reaching 96 km/h in just 4.1 seconds and achieving a top speed of 180 km/h. Lastly, the tri-motor configuration produces a staggering 845 horsepower and offers a range of approximately 514 km.

All versions of the Cybertruck come equipped with an adjustable air suspension system, providing a remarkable ground clearance of up to 431 mm. With approach and departure angles of 35 degrees and 28 degrees, respectively, the Cybertruck is more than capable of tackling challenging terrain, making it a formidable off-road machine.
