The Hyundai Casper is a compact SUV that made its debut in South Korea back in September 2021. Fast forward three years, and the vehicle has received a mid-life facelift.

As a facelift model, the 2025 Casper only undergoes subtle design changes. It features a new, narrower grille compared to its predecessor. The grille also ditches the previous borderless design in favor of a black finish with a silver outline.

The front bumper has been redesigned with a thicker silver accent. Even the full LED headlights have been tweaked, now incorporating round LED daytime running lights. The thin turn signals above have been refreshed, and the Hyundai logo has been updated to a 2D version.

On the higher-end trim, the Casper rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels with a new design. At the back, the taillights gain a new inner design, and the rear bumper is now accented with a larger silver garnish, giving the compact SUV a sportier appearance.

Step inside, and you’ll find a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, replacing the old 8-inch unit. Hyundai has also improved the interior materials to give the cabin a more premium feel.

Other features remain unchanged, including the foldable flat rear seats, heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, digital instrument cluster, voice command function for adjusting the air conditioning, smart key, and push-button start.

The rear seats can be slid forward or backward by 160 mm and reclined by 39 degrees. Sliding the rear seats forward reveals a generous 301-liter luggage space.

Both rows of seats in the Hyundai Casper 2025 can be folded flat.

Under the hood, the Hyundai Casper 2025 carries over the same engine options. These include a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated three-cylinder engine producing 75 horsepower and 90 Nm of torque, and a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine generating 100 horsepower and 172 Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to a front-wheel-drive system and a four-speed automatic transmission.

Despite its affordable price point, the Casper comes loaded with safety features, including seven airbags, forward collision-avoidance assist for vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists, lane-keeping assist, and high beam assist, to name a few.

The Hyundai Casper is built on the K1 platform shared with the Grand i10. It has dimensions of 3,595 mm in length, 1,595 mm in width, 1,575 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,400 mm.

Pricing for the 2025 Hyundai Casper has yet to be announced. The SUV will go on sale in South Korea later this year, with no plans for distribution in other markets.
