Mitsubishi has recently announced the official launch date for the new generation of the Triton in the Vietnamese market. The popular pickup truck will be introduced to domestic customers on September 11, 2024.
The 2025 Mitsubishi Triton is set to make its debut in Vietnam.
Prior to its launch, the 2025 Mitsubishi Triton has been spotted on Vietnamese roads. This is not the first time the pickup truck has been seen in the country, as it was previously tested on the Thang Long Boulevard in Hanoi.

Specific details about the 2025 Mitsubishi Triton for the Vietnamese market remain undisclosed. However, it appears that the truck’s design is consistent with the new generation Triton models launched in other Southeast Asian markets.
The new generation Triton has undergone significant changes in terms of its exterior design. It now features the new Beast Mode design language, incorporating a rectangular grille with the Mitsubishi logo. The front end continues to showcase the Dynamic Shield concept, evident in the “C”-shaped accents on both sides of the grille that form an “X” shape.

The lighting setup has been updated with a two-tier arrangement, featuring LED daytime running lights on top and the main headlights below. The fog lights are smaller and positioned at the corners of the front end.
Notable changes can also be observed in the front bumper, wheel arches, wheel design, Nissan Navara-inspired window design, and the vertical rear lights. Similar to the headlights, the rear lights feature a “T”-shaped design within the overall assembly.

The Athlete version, being the high-end variant, boasts a distinctive orange exterior color paired with glossy black accents. These accents can be found on the “C”-shaped headlight accents, wheel arch cladding, mirror caps, door handles, roof rails, sports bar above the cargo bed, and the rear bumper.
The 2025 Mitsubishi Triton has grown in size compared to its predecessor. Its dimensions now stand at 5,265/5,360 mm in length, 1,865/1,930 mm in width, and 1,775/1,815 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,130 mm. The ground clearance varies between 203 mm and 222 mm, depending on the variant.
On the inside, the 2025 Mitsubishi Triton has been enhanced with new features such as a four-way adjustable steering wheel, power-adjustable driver’s seat, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, support for wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto connectivity, dual-zone automatic climate control, rear air vents, wireless phone charging, and USB Type-A/Type-C ports.

In terms of safety, the Triton has been upgraded with seven airbags, a 360-degree camera, downhill assist control, emergency brake assist, forward collision mitigation, blind-spot warning, lane change assist, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, and automatic headlights.
Details regarding the engine options for the Vietnamese market are yet to be revealed. In other markets, the Triton is offered with two diesel engine choices. The first is a 2.4-liter MIVEC single-turbocharged diesel engine that produces 183 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque. The second option is a 2.4-liter MIVEC twin-turbocharged diesel engine, delivering 204 horsepower and 470 Nm of torque.
These engines are paired with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. Lower-end variants feature hydraulic power steering and the Easy Select 4WD system. Meanwhile, the Athlete version is equipped with seven drive modes, electronic power steering, and the Super Select II 4WD system.
Mitsubishi has started accepting reservations for the new Triton in Vietnam, with a deposit of 10 million VND. Customers who pre-order the vehicle will receive 10 free oil and filter changes within five years or 100,000 km, whichever comes first. Additionally, Mitsubishi is offering a standard five-year or 150,000 km warranty, whichever comes first, for the first time with the Triton in Vietnam.
