The Ultimate Supercar: A No-Show at Gumball 3000 in Vietnam. A 1,603 Horsepower Beast with an $80 Billion Price Tag.

The vibrant orange-red Koenigsegg Jesko, slated to be piloted by the founder of Gumball 3000, has mysteriously vanished from the event's car listings. With the disappearance of this head-turning supercar, it remains unclear which vehicle Maximillion Cooper will be gracing the event with.

The Gumball 3000 2024 supercar event is officially set to kick off on September 14, 2024, with Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, serving as the starting point for the first two days before the convoy moves on to the second country, Cambodia. Already, 10 supercars, luxury cars, sports cars, and luxury SUVs have been flown to Vietnam.

Some of the notable vehicles include the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Brabus 800, Audi RS5, Lamborghini Urus SUV, Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, Porsche 911 GT2 RS supercar, Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow pickup truck conversion, Rolls-Royce Dawn, the limited-edition Ferrari 812 Competizione of which only 999 were made globally, and the beautifully wrapped Ferrari 296 GTB, as well as the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series.

As car enthusiasts in Vietnam eagerly await the arrival of more supercars, there is some disappointing news. The orange Koenigsegg Jesko, which was expected to be driven by the founder of Gumball 3000, has been removed from the list of participating vehicles, and it is unclear what car Maximillion Cooper will use instead.

This means that the Koenigsegg Jesko, one of only 125 in the world, will not be taking part in the Gumball 3000 event in Vietnam, and possibly the rest of the rally. The reason for this last-minute change is unknown, but it is a disappointment to car enthusiasts who were looking forward to seeing this high-performance car in action.

However, the 2024 Gumball 3000 rally still boasts an impressive lineup of expensive supercars, including the Pagani Huayra BC Roadster, Bugatti Chiron, Bugatti Chiron Super Sport, and the Porsche Carrera GT.

The Koenigsegg Jesko supercar is powered by a twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces a staggering 1,603 horsepower when running on E85 biofuel, and 1,281 horsepower when using 98-octane gasoline. The car’s maximum torque is 1,500 Nm.

All this power is transmitted to the wheels through a new 9-speed Lightning Speed Transmission gearbox, enabling the Jesko to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds, on its way to a mind-boggling top speed of 482 km/h.

The Koenigsegg Jesko has a starting price of $2.8 million, and with all the options, the price can go up to over $3.5 million, making it an extremely exclusive and expensive car.
