Hyundai Unveils the Updated Casper SUV: A Compact and Stylish Upgrade
The Hyundai Casper, initially launched globally three years ago, has recently received a mid-life facelift. Built on the K1 platform shared with the Grand i10, the Casper SUV maintains its compact dimensions of 3,595 x 1,595 x 1,575 mm (length x width x height) with a wheelbase of 2,400 mm.
Compared to its predecessor, the 2024 Hyundai Casper receives subtle exterior updates. The front grille has been redesigned with a sleek, black finish, accompanied by full LED headlights that give it a refined look.
At the rear, the taillights and bumper have been restyled for a more modern and harmonious appearance.
Step inside, and you’ll find that the 2024 Hyundai Casper boasts an upgraded interior with premium materials and advanced technology. It now features a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, replacing the previous 8-inch unit. Additionally, ambient lighting is available as an option, creating an elegant and contemporary cabin atmosphere.
The Casper continues to offer a leather-wrapped steering wheel with heating, a cooled driver’s seat, a digital instrument cluster, voice command functionality for hands-free climate control adjustment, smart key entry, and push-button start.
Under the hood, the 2024 Hyundai Casper retains the two engine options from its predecessor. The first is a naturally aspirated 1.0-liter 3-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 75 horsepower and 90 Nm of torque. The second is a turbocharged 1.0-liter 3-cylinder engine that delivers an impressive 100 horsepower and 172 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with a front-wheel-drive system and a 4-speed automatic transmission.
When it comes to safety, the 2024 Hyundai Casper is packed with advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). It features seven airbags, including a center airbag between the front seats, collision-avoidance assist for vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists, lane-keeping assist, and smart headlight assist, to name a few.
The 2024 Hyundai Casper will go on sale in South Korea later this year, although pricing details have not yet been disclosed.
