Today, on August 28, 2024, MG officially introduced the MG7 model in the Vietnamese market. With the arrival of the MG7, the total number of products from this Chinese brand in Vietnam has reached seven, including the ZS, MG5, New MG5, RX5, HS, and MG4 EV.

In the Vietnamese market, the MG7 is offered in three variants: 1.5T Luxury, 2.0T Luxury, and 2.0T Premium. The respective prices for these variants are VND 738 million, VND 898 million, and VND 1.018 billion. With these competitive prices, the MG7 has become the most affordable sedan in its class in Vietnam.

Positioned in the D-segment sedan category, the MG7 boasts impressive dimensions with a length of 4,884 mm, a width of 1,889 mm, a height of 1,447 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,778 mm. It competes directly with the Toyota Camry, Kia K5, Honda Accord, and Mazda6 in the Vietnamese market.

Aside from its attractive pricing, the MG7 impresses with its youthful and sporty exterior design. This model features a stylish fastback design with intricate character lines and complex surfacing. The front is accentuated by sharp LED projector headlights, complemented by LED daytime running lights. Below sits a large grille that stretches across the front, along with two vertical air intakes and a narrow central air intake with a front lip spoiler.

On the sides, the MG7 showcases frameless windows with an automatic up/down function and robust 19-inch alloy wheels. The high-end variant features red brake calipers behind the wheels, adding a touch of sportiness.

At the rear, the electronic spoiler catches your attention, automatically deploying at speeds over 100 km/h and retracting when the speed drops below 70 km/h. Drivers can also manually control the spoiler’s deployment from the central control panel.

Additionally, the MG7’s roofline seamlessly flows into the trunk, enhancing both aerodynamic efficiency and aesthetic appeal. The full-width LED taillights further emphasize the car’s width, while the dual exhaust pipes on each side offer customizable exhaust notes.

Step inside the MG7, and you’ll be greeted by a bold red and black interior in the high-end variant. The cabin is packed with features such as a sporty flat-bottom steering wheel with a “Super Sport” button, luxurious Nappa leather upholstery, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 12.3-inch central touchscreen infotainment system.

But that’s not all; the MG7 in Vietnam also offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, a Bose nine-speaker sound system, dual-zone automatic climate control with PM2.5 air filtration, a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging in the front, power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory function, 60:40 split-folding rear seats, and an electric trunk opener.

When it comes to safety, the MG7 doesn’t disappoint. It comes loaded with six airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system, a 360-degree camera, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, lane departure prevention, pre-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, speed limit warning, and automatic unlocking in case of a collision.

Under the hood, the MG7 in Vietnam offers two turbocharged gasoline engine options. The first is a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 167 horsepower and 275 Nm of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The second is a more powerful 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 227 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission from ZF, along with electronic shifters and paddle shifters on the steering wheel.
