There was initially speculation that the Koenigsegg Jesko, owned by Mr. Maximillion Cooper, founder of the Gumball 3000 rally, would lead the pack.
However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the Koenigsegg Jesko was unable to be transported to Vietnam, and thus, the lead vehicle will be replaced by the limited-edition Lamborghini Aventador LP770-4 SVJ.
This news has left car enthusiasts in the country disappointed as they will not get the chance to witness the rare Koenigsegg Jesko in action.
Despite being overshadowed by the Jesko, the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ is still one of the most expensive supercars, with only 900 units produced globally.
The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ is powered by a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, producing a maximum of 770 horsepower and 720 Nm of torque.
This supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 350 km/h.
As planned, the Gumball 3000 2024 supercar rally will officially commence on September 14th. This year’s event has chosen Ho Chi Minh City as its starting point to promote Vietnam to the international community.
