On July 3, Volkswagen Vietnam unveiled the Tiguan Platinum, an SUV that exudes sophistication and performance. While the exterior design remains largely consistent with the current models, the Platinum edition introduces advanced safety technologies that elevate the driving experience.
The front of the vehicle is accentuated by the IQ.LIGHT system, featuring two projector lenses and daytime running lights. The premium version also includes a distinctive ‘C’ logo on the front bumper, adding a touch of modern elegance.

The Volkswagen Tiguan Platinum boasts a sleek body kit that seamlessly matches the vehicle’s color, as well as fixed running boards that facilitate easy entry and exit. The 18-inch alloy wheels, paired with Pirelli tires, enhance road grip and complement the overall aesthetic. |
Step inside the Tiguan Platinum, and you’ll find a spacious and luxurious cabin. The interior has been meticulously crafted, featuring a new steering wheel and gear knob with LED lighting. The 8-inch central infotainment display seamlessly integrates Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for a connected driving experience. Additionally, the Dyaudio sound system and newly incorporated safety technologies further enhance the appeal of the Tiguan Platium.

In addition to standard features such as Parking Distance Control (PDC), Intelligent Return Assist (DSR), and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), the Tiguan Platinum introduces Blind Spot Monitoring and the Area View camera system. This innovative technology employs four cameras positioned around the vehicle to assist with parking and maneuvering, providing a comprehensive view of the surroundings.
Under the hood, the Tiguan Platinum is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged TSI 4-cylinder engine that delivers an impressive 217 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. The four-wheel-drive system, coupled with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, ensures a smooth and responsive drive.
With a price tag of VND 1,688 billion, the Volkswagen Tiguan Platinum offers a competitive alternative to the Mercedes-Benz GLC 200 (starting at VND 1,859 billion) and the Skodia Kodiaq (ranging from VND 1,189 billion to VND 1,409 billion).
