The new MG ZS has received a design overhaul for a more premium look, along with new technology and an electric powertrain.

MG has officially launched the new generation of its ZS SUV in the UK market, offering two variants: the SE and Trophy, with a starting price of £21,995 (~ VND 722 million).

For its new generation, the MG ZS has been improved inside and out. Starting with the exterior, the 2025 MG ZS impresses with a large oval grille at the front, a ladder-shaped mesh pattern similar to the MG HS and the newest MG3. The car also features new headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights, a simple yet modern design. The front bumper has been redesigned for a sportier look, featuring two vertically-placed L-shaped air intakes.

From the side profile, the 2025 MG ZS showcases a bold character line that runs from the front wheel arch to the rear, emphasizing its dynamic and sporty style. The 2025 MG ZS has a more square-shaped design, improving driver visibility and providing a more spacious interior. Depending on the variant, the MG ZS 2025 will be fitted with 17-inch or 18-inch alloy wheels.

The rear end is sleek and modern, featuring LED taillights that wrap around the corners. The rear hatch has been redesigned, and the rear bumper sports a more athletic look with silver trim surrounding the dual faux exhaust outlets and a center light strip.

Inside the cabin, the MG ZS 2025 features a sleek, dark interior design without compromising on modernity. It comes equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a sporty three-spoke steering wheel with function buttons and faux metal trim on the air vents. It also features a new center console with a T-shaped gear selector.

Other notable features of the MG ZS 2025 include a six-speaker audio system, an electric sunroof, satellite navigation, six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, leather upholstery, heated seats and steering wheel, and automatic climate control, among others.

Notably, the 2025 MG ZS introduces a hybrid powertrain, combining a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder gasoline engine producing approximately 101 horsepower with a potent 136-horsepower electric motor and 250 Nm of torque. This setup is paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and a 1.83 kWh battery. The MG ZS Hybrid+ 2025 has a combined output of 195 horsepower and 250 Nm of peak torque, delivered solely to the front wheels.

According to the manufacturer, the MG ZS Hybrid+ 2025 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.7 seconds, while delivering impressive fuel efficiency with a combined consumption of just 4.1 liters per 100 km.

Additionally, the new MG ZS is expected to offer two other gasoline engine options: a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), and a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox.

In terms of safety, the new MG ZS is equipped with six airbags, a 360-degree camera, rear parking sensors, automatic headlights, tire pressure monitoring, autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and traffic jam assist.
