Australian Police Seize Lamborghini Huracan from Man Previously on Unemployment Benefits
A 39-year-old man, who had been claiming unemployment benefits since 2019, was found to possess a significant asset portfolio, including a Lamborghini Huracan supercar, a Harley-Davidson V-Rod motorcycle, and two Rolex watches. The total value of the seized assets exceeded AUD 500,000 (approximately VND 8.4 billion).
Authorities suspect that the ill-gotten gains may be linked to organized criminal groups. The assets have been confiscated, and the investigation is ongoing.
In a similar incident in 2021, a man in the US received a substantial sum through COVID-related benefit packages. He then spent USD 300,000 (approximately VND 7.46 billion) of that money on a Lamborghini Huracan for himself.
