The All-New MG ZS: A Sleek and Tech-Savvy SUV
MG has unveiled the all-new ZS SUV in the UK market, offering two variants: the SE and Trophy, with a starting price of £21,995 (~ VND 722 million). The new MG ZS boasts a range of improvements, from its exterior design to its technology and all-new electric powertrain.
The front of the 2025 MG ZS features a large oval grille, with a trapezoidal mesh pattern similar to the MG HS and the latest MG3. The new LED headlights with LED daytime running lights add a modern touch to the vehicle’s simple yet elegant design. The front bumper has been redesigned for a sportier look, featuring two vertically-placed L-shaped air intakes.
The side profile showcases a bold character line that runs from the front wheel arch to the rear, emphasizing the SUV’s dynamic and sporty character. The 2025 MG ZS has a more squared-off design, improving driver visibility and providing a spacious interior. Depending on the variant, the SUV is fitted with 17-inch or 18-inch alloy wheels.
At the rear, the sharp and modern design continues with LED taillights that wrap around the corners. The redesigned tailgate, sporty bumper with silver trim, and dual faux exhaust outlets with a center light strip complete the look.
Step inside, and you’ll find a cabin that exudes modern sophistication. The all-new MG ZS features a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a sporty three-spoke steering wheel with function buttons and faux metal trim on the air vents. The center console houses a new T-shaped gear selector.
Other notable features include a six-speaker audio system, an electric sunroof, satellite navigation, six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, leather upholstery, heated seats and steering wheel, and automatic climate control.
Under the hood, the MG ZS Hybrid+ combines a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder gasoline engine with a potent 136-horsepower electric motor, delivering a combined output of 195 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. This setup is mated to a three-speed automatic transmission and a 1.83 kWh battery. The MG ZS Hybrid+ is front-wheel drive only.
According to MG, the ZS Hybrid+ can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 8.7 seconds while offering impressive fuel efficiency, consuming just 4.1 liters of gasoline per 100 km.
The new MG ZS is also expected to be available with two additional gasoline engine options: a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), and a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission.
In terms of safety, the all-new MG ZS is equipped with six airbags, a 360-degree camera, rear parking sensors, automatic headlights, tire pressure monitoring, autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and traffic jam assist.
