For years, the Toyota Camry has been a consistent best-seller in the Vietnamese market for mid-size sedans. So, it comes as no surprise that Toyota has plans to launch the newest generation of this popular car in the country.

According to dealership sources, the Toyota Camry 2025 will be officially launched in Vietnam in December this year. It is expected that dealerships will only start taking bookings for this model from October onwards.

Sales consultants at the dealerships have revealed that the Toyota Camry 2025 in Vietnam will no longer include the 2.5Q gasoline engine option. Instead, Toyota will increase the number of hybrid versions of the Camry from one to two.

Toyota has set a launch date for the Camry 2025 in Vietnam, dropping the 2.5Q variant.

These two hybrid versions of this D-segment sedan are equipped with a hybrid powertrain that combines a 2.5L 4-cylinder gasoline engine and an electric motor. The gasoline engine produces a maximum output of 186 horsepower and 221 Nm of torque. The electric motor adds 136 horsepower and 202 Nm to that, resulting in a total system output of 230 horsepower for the Toyota Camry 2025 hybrid. This is paired with an e-CVT automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.

Meanwhile, the standard version of the Toyota Camry 2025 will continue to use a 2.0L gasoline engine, likely carried over from the previous generation. This engine produces a maximum output of 170 horsepower and 206 Nm of torque, with power transmitted to the wheels through a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).

In addition to the changes in the model lineup and engines, the Toyota Camry 2025 also boasts improvements in design and convenience features. Not long ago, this mid-size sedan was also officially launched in Southeast Asia, specifically in Singapore. It is likely that the Toyota Camry 2025 in Vietnam will feature the same design as the one sold in Singapore.

As predicted, the Toyota Camry 2025 for Southeast Asia is designed similarly to the one in Taiwan. This model features a narrow grille positioned between the headlights and large trapezoidal air intakes below. It also includes LED headlights with two vertical bulbs, C-shaped LED daytime running lights, small fog lights on either side of the upper air intakes in the front bumper, and vertical air intakes on the sides.

Similar to the previous generation, the Toyota Camry 2025 for Vietnam will also be imported from Thailand. The pricing for this model is yet to be revealed, while the previous generation was priced between VND 1.22 billion and VND 1.495 billion.
