For the month of September 2024, Honda Vietnam is offering attractive promotions on its range of vehicles, including the Honda Accord.
Throughout this month, customers purchasing the Honda Accord will receive a generous cash gift of 220 million VND. This brings the post-promotion price of this D-segment sedan to a competitive 1.099 billion VND.
To avail of this offer, customers need to sign a purchase contract and complete the full payment procedure between September 7 and September 30, 2024. This is the sixth consecutive month that Honda has offered this promotion for its D-segment sedan, making it the model with the highest incentive in the mid-size sedan segment in Vietnam.
Even with a significant discount, the Honda Accord remains priced higher than its rivals, such as the Mazda6, Kia K5, and the new MG7. Additionally, the official promotion has not had a substantial impact on the sales performance of this model in recent times.
In July 2024, Honda sold only six Accord units in Vietnam, a 25% decrease compared to the previous month, ranking last in the D-segment sedan category. In the first seven months of this year, the model achieved a total sales volume of just 54 units, making it one of the slowest-selling cars in the entire market.
The Honda Accord is not lacking in terms of design, equipment, or interior space when compared to its competitors. However, its high starting price of 1.319 billion VND and the availability of only one version have made it less appealing to Vietnamese customers. Additionally, the Honda Accord has not received any significant updates for a while.
The Honda Accord boasts impressive features such as LED lighting, 18-inch alloy wheels, electrically adjustable and folding mirrors with integrated turn signals, automatic folding when locked, and automatic retraction when reversing. It also includes electric front seats, a digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a sunroof, an eight-speaker audio system, and dual-zone automatic climate control.
In terms of safety, the Honda Accord is equipped with advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) as standard, including a collision mitigation braking system, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, automatic high-beam headlights, lane departure mitigation, and lane-keeping assist.
Under the hood, the Honda Accord is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 188 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and offers two driving modes: Eco and Sport.
