Auction for Premium License Plate 30K-799.99
Auctioning for desired license plates has become a popular way for Vietnamese enthusiasts to acquire coveted car registrations, including dragon, pair, loc phat, than tai, and quadruple or quintuple lucky numbers. Bidders only need to outbid others in these online auctions to win their desired plate. Hundreds of premium plates, including quadruple and quintuple lucky numbers, have been auctioned for over VND 1 billion, with some even reaching tens of billions of dong.
However, there have been instances where winning bidders back out, resulting in the license plate being auctioned again, sometimes multiple times, until a committed buyer is found. One such example is the premium plate 30K-799.99, which has been auctioned not once but twice. The first auction took place on December 26, 2023, between 10:15 and 10:45, with a winning bid of VND 4.03 billion.

Unfortunately, the first winning bidder failed to complete the necessary procedures, including paying the remaining amount of VND 3.99 billion, resulting in a forfeiture of their VND 40 million deposit. Six months later, on April 11, 2024, the plate was auctioned again, this time fetching a high bid of VND 1 billion.
The Lucky Owner of License Plate 30K-799.99
There was much curiosity about who would eventually own this premium plate and which car it would adorn. Recently, the mystery was solved when a well-known luxury car showroom owner in Hanoi shared that he had made a down payment for the plate, although the final price was not disclosed. He intends to pair the plate with his Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster.
A photo shared by a young millionaire shows the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster sporting the coveted 30K-799.99 license plate. It’s unclear if the owner has completed the necessary registration procedures or simply attached the plate to generate online buzz. If the car, currently on sale, is purchased with the plate, the new owner will undoubtedly enjoy the prestige that comes with this unique combination.
The Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster is offered at VND 17 billion and is one of only two white Aventadors in Vietnam. The license plate 30K-799.99 is not only a quadruple 9 but also a combination of 7 and 9, symbolizing great wealth, and the three 9s represent longevity. No wonder it fetched a winning bid of VND 1 billion.
Unlike the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Coupe, the Roadster features a dark-toned retractable roof made of carbon fiber split into two sections for easy removal. Each roof panel weighs only 6 kg and is secured by a latch located behind the seats, with the front luggage compartment serving as storage. Another unique feature is a small window behind the seats.
Under the hood, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster boasts a 6.5-liter V12 engine that delivers 690 horsepower at 8,250 rpm and 690 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. This powerhouse is paired with a 7-speed ISR automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, propelling the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, with a top speed of 350 km/h. This particular Roadster was previously fitted with an aftermarket exhaust system.
