Avatar 012 – The Exclusive Edition is Now Available

Avatr Technology, backed by Changan Automobile, CATL, and Huawei, has unveiled its latest creation with the Avatr 012 – a limited-edition electric vehicle (EV). The official launch event, Avatr Brilliant Night 2024, held in Shanghai, China, marked the pre-sale of this exceptional car.

With a price tag of 700,000 CNY (approximately $98,100 USD or 2.45 billion VND), the Avatr 012 is a collaboration with Kim Jones, Artistic Director of Dior and Fendi. Only 700 units of this vehicle will be produced globally, and each purchase includes an exclusive Dior tote bag.

Avatr 012 is the brand’s second limited-edition model, following the release of the Avatr 011 in a limited run of 500 units on August 8, 2022, alongside the debut of their first SUV, the Avatr 11.

This sleek EV measures 5,020 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,469 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,020 mm. While the Avatr 012 shares a similar body structure with the Avatr 12, it is positioned as a more premium offering with distinct exterior and interior features.

The exterior boasts an exclusive “Liquid Silver” color, creating a striking, glossy appearance. The front features distinctive ‘E’-shaped headlights, a HALO interactive display with 10,500 light particles, and a lidar system integrated into the grille. The grille itself is designed to automatically open and close for optimal airflow and cooling. Additionally, two lidar sensors on the front fenders enable advanced driver assistance through Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 3.0 system. At the rear, slim, split taillights and a rear spoiler enhance the vehicle’s aesthetics. Completing the exterior is a set of new 21-inch alloy wheels bearing the signatures of Avatr and Kim Jones.

Step inside the Avatr 012, and you’ll find a warm-toned interior that mirrors the layout of the Avatr 12, enhanced by Huawei’s HarmonyOS 4. Physical buttons are minimized, and a stylish polygonal steering wheel takes center stage. A 15.6-inch central control screen and a 35.4-inch integrated display for the instrument panel and infotainment system offer a seamless digital experience. Additionally, digital side-view mirrors are projected onto two small screens on the sides. Avatr has also included wireless charging pads, a 27-speaker audio system, and Huawei’s advanced ADS 2.0 intelligent driving system for a truly modern driving experience.

The Avatr 012’s roof features a starry sky design, and the second-row seats are configured in a business-class style with Nappa leather upholstery, a roof display, and armrests. The headrests are embossed with the exclusive Avatr and Kim Jones logo, and owners can personalize the steering wheel and pillar with their own logo.

Powering the Avatr 012 is a pair of Huawei DriveOne electric motors, delivering a combined output of 539 horsepower (402 kW / 547 PS). Energy is stored in a CATL 5C Qilin battery, capable of ultra-fast charging, reaching 80% in just 10 minutes from a 30% charge.
