The 2025 Honda Civic: A Mid-Life Cycle Refresh with Subtle Exterior Tweaks and Significant In-Cabin Tech Upgrades
In early August, the 2025 Honda Civic was officially introduced in the Thai market with three variants: 1.5 Turbo EL+, e:HEV EL+, and e:HEV RS. At that time, the Japanese automaker had not announced the official price of this “national” sedan. It wasn’t until recently that the 2025 Honda Civic was officially priced in the land of golden temples. Specifically, the car is priced at 1,039 million baht (~765.5 million VND), 1,099 million baht (~809.7 million VND), and 1,239 million baht (~912.8 million VND), respectively.
Based on the pricing of the 2025 Honda Civic in the Thai market, it is predicted that the car will be sold at a higher price in Vietnam compared to the previous generation, which is currently priced from 730 – 870 million VND.
The 2025 Honda Civic is a mid-life cycle refresh, so it receives a mild design upgrade with a sportier front bumper, a wider grille, and darker taillights. The car is offered in four new colors: Silver Solar Silver Metallic, Urban Gray Pearl, Blue Lagoon Pearl, and White Sand Dune Pearl.
Inside the cabin, the 2025 Honda Civic doesn’t differ much from its predecessor. However, it boasts significant technological upgrades. The most notable improvement is the larger 9-inch infotainment screen, running software developed by Google and integrating Google services such as maps, voice assistant, and the app store.
Additionally, the car features premium leather upholstery, USB-C ports, wireless charging, and a 12-speaker audio system. The safety suite has also been enhanced with the addition of blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
In Thailand, the Civic 2025 is offered with two engine options. The first is a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 178 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque, paired with a CVT transmission. The second is a hybrid powertrain that combines a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors, delivering a total system output of 184 horsepower and 315 Nm of torque.
According to some sources, the upgraded version of the 11th generation Honda Civic will be launched in the Vietnamese market in October 2024. The car will be imported from Thailand and will be available in three variants.
