Hyundai Palisade 2026: A Sleeker, More Spacious CUV

Hyundai has been making waves with its recent design language, and the upcoming Palisade is no exception. The South Korean automotive giant has been spotted testing the new model, and it’s clear that the Palisade will be adopting a sharper, more angular look akin to its younger sibling, the 2024 Santa Fe.

But it’s not just the exterior that’s getting an upgrade. Leaked images from the Korean YouTube channel, WoopaTV, reveal a refreshed interior with a host of modern amenities. The most notable change is the new steering wheel, which mirrors the design of the 2024 Santa Fe. The gear shifter has been moved to the steering column, freeing up space between the front seats for additional storage.

The 2026 Palisade is rumored to be built on a new platform with a longer wheelbase, providing more interior space. This strategic move will allow Hyundai to better compete with rivals such as the Honda Pilot and Toyota Grand Highlander.

At the 2023 Los Angeles Auto Show, Hyundai gave us a glimpse of the Palisade’s new powertrain options. The CUV will offer a 2.5L hybrid system and a 3.5L turbocharged V6 engine, replacing the current 3.8L engine. This shift showcases Hyundai’s commitment to both performance and environmental sustainability.

While the current Palisade already offers a range of gasoline engines, the 2026 model will introduce a hybrid variant, underscoring Hyundai’s strategic push towards electrification. This new Palisade isn’t just an upgrade in power but also a statement of Hyundai’s vision for the future of family vehicles.
