The Malaysian Prince Adds a Rolls-Royce Spectre to His Million-Dollar Collection

This royal enthusiast has a penchant for acquiring the most luxurious vehicles on the market, and his recent acquisition of the ultra-luxurious electric Rolls-Royce Spectre has sent the automotive world into a frenzy.

Images shared online reveal a captivating orange-hued Rolls-Royce Spectre, a bold choice that demands attention.

The front grille is a stunning masterpiece, featuring a waterfall design with vertical slats, a distinctive trait of the Rolls-Royce brand. The grille is subtly illuminated at night by 22 LED lights, which are gently reflected through sandblasted surfaces, creating a refined three-dimensional effect.

Adorning the top of the grille is the iconic “Flying Lady” emblem, affectionately known as the Spirit of Ecstasy. On the Spectre, this legendary symbol has been subtly redesigned to give the vehicle a sportier edge.

The lighting system is a two-tier affair, with a thin upper strip of LED daytime running lights and the main headlights nestled within the lower housing. The front bumper also boasts a large central air intake with horizontal slats, contributing to the car’s sleek and dynamic appearance.

This electric coupe is fitted with 23-inch alloy wheels, the largest ever seen on a Rolls-Royce in the last century. Their aerodynamic design contributes to the Spectre’s impressive 0.25 Cd drag coefficient, the lowest in the Rolls-Royce family.

The rear of the vehicle features a unique vertical design for the LED taillights, accented by silver details that add a touch of sophistication.

While we cannot be certain if the interior of the Prince’s vehicle has been customized, we can expect the finest modern amenities, including a three-spoke steering wheel with function buttons, a digital instrument cluster seamlessly connected to a central touchscreen, leather upholstery, and a digital display for the passenger, ensuring the electric Rolls-Royce maintains its luxurious ambiance without betraying its electric nature.

Under the hood, the Rolls-Royce Spectre boasts an impressive electric motor capable of delivering a maximum output of 430 kW (approximately 576 horsepower) and a staggering 900 Nm of torque. This translates to a swift 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 4.5 seconds. In terms of range, the Spectre offers an impressive 585 km on a single charge according to the CLTC cycle in China, and 515 km according to the EPA cycle in the US.

Additionally, the Spectre supports fast charging technology, allowing it to charge from 10-80% in just 34 minutes using a DC 195 kW charger. For those in a hurry, a quick nine-minute charge will provide enough power for a respectable 100 km journey.

Prince Tunku Idris Iskandar Ismail is known for his extensive car collection, boasting over 100 vehicles from renowned supercar and luxury brands, including the likes of Ferrari and McLaren, with models such as the Ferrari Monza SP2 and McLaren Elva already in his garage.
