Further modifications include new paint options, such as the vibrant 739 Mulberry Red, and an array of fresh alloy wheel designs ranging from 20 to 22 inches in diameter.

The dashboard now sports a flatter profile and is upholstered in novel materials. However, the most notable alteration within the cabin is the enlarged central touchscreen, now measuring 11.2 inches, akin to the Volvo EX30 and EX90. Despite the inclusion of this large infotainment screen, the XC90 retains physical buttons and a volume knob, a feature that is sure to be appreciated by many luxury SUV buyers.

Under the hood, the luxury SUV offers three distinct powertrain options. Firstly, the B5 hybrid system combines a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with a 48V electric motor, generating a total of 247 horsepower. The B6 hybrid utilizes the same engine but produces 295 horsepower.
Lastly, the T8 plug-in hybrid features a 14.7 kWh battery, enabling an all-electric range of 53 kilometers. This PHEV configuration delivers an impressive 455 horsepower and 709 Nm of torque.

Regardless of the chosen engine, all XC90s are equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Additionally, the SUV benefits from an upgraded suspension system with adaptive dampers that adjust to varying road conditions.
