Making its global debut in late June, the new Aston Martin Valiant has now been officially introduced in Asia. The car is currently on display at the Aston Martin showroom in Tokyo.

The British automaker revealed that the idea for producing the Valiant initially stemmed from a custom order by Formula 1 racer Fernando Alonso. Subsequently, the company decided to produce a limited run of just 38 units, each priced at a whopping $2.5 million.

The Valiant boasts a sporty design with classic round headlights, a clamshell hood, and Aston Martin’s signature horse-shoe grille.

The rear end makes a statement with a large spoiler and taillights reminiscent of the Valkyrie. Below, airflow channels enhance stability at high speeds.

To minimize weight, the Valiant features a 3D-printed rear stress member, titanium torque tubes, and lightweight lithium-ion batteries. Its suspension utilizes Adaptive Multi-Valve Dampers (ASV), an ultra-rare setup, according to Aston, that can “simultaneously adjust each control valve along one of 32 damping curves in under six milliseconds.” This equipment is typically seen only on top-tier sports cars like the Ford Mustang GTD, Ferrari Purosangue, and IndyCars.

Inside the cabin, the Valiant is equipped with a roll cage, Recaro Podium sports seats, and four-point harnesses. Similar to other Aston Martin supercars, many components are crafted from carbon fiber. The engineers have also improved the gearshift feel with a new, Valiant-exclusive weighted shift knob.

Powering the Aston Martin Valiant is a 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine, producing a massive 735 horsepower and 753 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission, sending power to the rear wheels.
