**End of July 2024: Toyota and Hyundai Remain the Top-Selling Automotive Brands in Vietnam**

According to sales reports from the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), the automotive industry in Vietnam witnessed impressive growth in July 2024. A total of 28,920 units were sold across the country, marking a 9% increase compared to the previous month and a significant 17% surge from the same period last year.

Domestic assembled vehicles accounted for 13,788 units sold, reflecting a 6% rise from the previous month, while completely built-up imported vehicles reached 15,132 units, an 11% increase month-on-month.

Toyota, the renowned automotive brand, maintained its leading position in the market with impressive sales figures. They sold 6,479 units in July 2024, solidifying their dominance in the industry.

Hyundai followed suit, although with a notable gap, as they sold 4,450 units during the same period, approximately 2,000 units less than Toyota. Nevertheless, Hyundai continues to be a strong contender in the Vietnamese market.

Mitsubishi made a remarkable leap, surpassing Ford to secure the third position in the rankings. With a total of 3,835 units sold, Mitsubishi witnessed a substantial growth of 32%, thanks to the outstanding performance of their Xforce model.

The Xforce played a pivotal role in Mitsubishi’s success, breaking records with 1,748 units sold in July 2024—a staggering increase of more than 180% compared to the previous month. This achievement propelled the Xforce to the top spot as the best-selling vehicle in July.

Ford trailed behind in fourth place, selling 3,150 units in July. Despite Mitsubishi’s impressive performance, Ford maintained its lead in the year-to-date sales for 2024, with a gap of over 2,000 units.

This shift in rankings can be attributed to the unexpected dip in sales of Ford’s flagship model, the Ranger, which dropped from the top spot in June to fifth place in July.

Following closely behind in the rankings are Kia, Mazda, and Honda, with sales figures of 2,679, 2,503, and 2,406 units, respectively, for the month of July.
