There’s exciting news for car enthusiasts in Hanoi and Central Vietnam, with recent reports indicating that select dealers have started taking deposits for the highly anticipated BMW M3 and M4 models. Eager customers who place their orders now can expect to get behind the wheel of these performance vehicles in about a year’s time.
The BMW M3 and M4 are high-performance variants of the 3-Series sedan and 4-Series coupe, respectively, developed by the BMW M division. Rumors suggest that the BMW M3, priced at VND 4.999 billion and the BMW M4, starting at VND 5.599 billion, will be available in Vietnam. Customers will also have the option to customize their vehicles with special features at an additional cost.
These add-ons can range from a few dozen to a few hundred million VND. For instance, the most expensive exterior paint option costs VND 320 million, while the premium interior package is priced at VND 165 million. Customers opting for the M Carbon exterior package will need to shell out VND 310 million, and the M Carbon bucket seats come at a hefty VND 325 million. The most expensive upgrade, however, is the M Carbon Ceramic brake system, priced at a staggering VND 650 million.
All variants of the M3 and M4 are electronically limited to a top speed of 250 km/h. However, with the M Race Track Package, which costs a cool VND 1.1 billion, the speed limit is raised to 290 km/h, along with additional performance enhancements like ceramic carbon brakes and carbon racing seats.
Both the BMW M3 and M4 models available in Vietnam will be the top-of-the-line Competition M xDrive versions.
Under the hood, the BMW M3 and M4 are powered by a 3.0L twin-turbocharged I6 engine, delivering an impressive 530 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque. This potent powertrain is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system, enabling both vehicles to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds.
