Volvo Unveils the XC90: An Elevated SUV Experience
Volvo recently unveiled the highly anticipated mid-life upgrade to their luxurious XC90 SUV.
The Volvo XC90 2025 boasts significant refinements, both externally and internally. The front of the vehicle captivates with a redesigned grille, abandoning the traditional vertical slats in favor of an intricate cross-stitch pattern.
Retaining the distinctive “Thor’s Hammer” shape, the headlights have been streamlined for a more contemporary aesthetic. Accompanied by revised air intakes and a redesigned front bumper, the XC90’s facade now exudes an electric vehicle-inspired elegance.
At the rear, the taillights have been darkened and redesigned with a “flatter” graphic, seamlessly integrating with the refined rear bumper.
This mid-life upgrade introduces a vibrant new exterior color, 739 Mulberry Red, and fresh wheel designs ranging from 20 to 22 inches.
Inside, the Volvo XC90 2025 showcases a simplified and modernized design aesthetic. While the overall layout remains unchanged, the central touchscreen has been upgraded to an 11.2-inch display. Additionally, the user interface and experience have been enhanced, mirroring the advancements found in Volvo’s pure electric EX30 and EX90 models.
The XC90’s Bowers & Wilkins sound system has been acoustically and aesthetically improved, incorporating additional materials to enhance noise cancellation and deliver an even more immersive auditory experience.
Under the hood, the Volvo XC90 2025 offers three distinct powertrain options. Firstly, the B5 hybrid system combines a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder gasoline engine with a 48V electric motor, generating a combined output of 247 horsepower.
Secondly, the B6 hybrid setup pairs the same gasoline engine with a more potent electric motor, resulting in a peak output of 295 horsepower. Lastly, the T8 plug-in hybrid system delivers an impressive 455 horsepower and 709 Nm of torque, backed by a 14.7 kWh battery that enables an all-electric range of 53 kilometers.
Regardless of the chosen powertrain, the XC90 is equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive as standard.
This latest iteration of the XC90 also benefits from a refined suspension system, employing adaptive damping technology to ensure a smooth and stable ride.
In the United States, the Volvo XC90 2025 starts at $59,745 (approximately 1.47 billion VND). Customers who place their orders now can expect deliveries to commence next year.
