A social media account recently shared a series of photos revealing the supercars that “coffee king” Dang Le Nguyen Vu will bring to Gumball 3000.
According to the post, the coffee industry tycoon will display 18 cars at the starting point in Ho Chi Minh City. These cars include the Bugatti Veyron, Ford GT, Ford GT ’67 Heritage Edition, and 15 Ferraris.
Although Dang Le Nguyen Vu, chairman of Trung Nguyen Coffee Group, will not be participating in this supercar journey, he will be sponsoring Gumball 3000 2024 with £200,000 (equivalent to 6.42 billion VND). Additionally, the Trung Nguyen coffee brand will accompany Gumball 3000 on all its global journeys.
It is known that the Gumball 3000 2024 supercar journey will officially take place on September 14th. This year, Gumball 3000 chose Ho Chi Minh City as the starting point to promote the image of Vietnam to the world.
This year’s supercar journey includes the participation of 121 teams, numbered from 0 to 120. The list is still being finalized, and it features the presence of numerous supercars and hypercars. Currently, the supercars are being transported to Vietnam to prepare for this cross-border journey.
According to the schedule, after departing from Ho Chi Minh City, the Gumball 3000 2024 convoy will pass through Phrom Penh and Angkor Wat in Cambodia, Bangkok and Krabi in Thailand, and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, before finally concluding in Singapore. The last activity of the journey is to enjoy the speed party at the F1 Singapore stage, where the organizers will also present the “Spirit of Gumball” cup to the team with the most remarkable performance during the trip.
It is known that in addition to owning trendy cars, Gumball 3000 participants also have to spend a significant amount of money. The cost for each car with two people can be up to £80,000 (equivalent to 2.58 billion VND).
Moreover, the organizers require participants to submit an application form, summarizing their driving experience and expertise, the cars they have owned or driven, and providing details of any past journeys or races they have participated in. If the information is not compelling enough, the application will be rejected.
