The Nissan Patrol is a rugged SUV with a 73-year heritage. On September 4, 2024, Nissan unveiled the seventh generation of this Japanese SUV for both the Middle Eastern and North American markets. The North American version is known as the Armada.
The 2025 model is built on a separate body-on-frame chassis, shared with the luxurious Infiniti QX80 SUV. It boasts improved design, new technologies, and a more powerful engine.
The heart of the Middle Eastern version is a twin-turbocharged, direct-injected 3.5L V6 gasoline engine, replacing the older V8. This new powerplant delivers an impressive 425 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque, outperforming its V8 predecessor.

The standard adaptive air suspension system, with electronic shocks, automatically adjusts to varying terrain conditions. This suspension setup allows for increased ground clearance when tackling rough terrain or can be lowered for improved aerodynamics and easier entry and exit from the vehicle.

Not only does the Nissan Patrol 2025 share a chassis with the Infiniti QX80, but it also adopts similar overall dimensions and design cues. A new feature is the Biometric Cooling technology, which uses integrated infrared sensors to detect the body temperature of occupants in the first two rows, automatically adjusting the airflow settings accordingly. This is similar to Lexus’ Climate Concierge system.
