When it comes to the car collections of the big spenders in ASEAN, two princes from Malaysia’s Johor state stand out. Tunku Idris Iskandar Ismail and Tunku Ismail Idris, often known as TTJ and TMJ respectively, are known for their impressive collection of over a hundred cars, a third of which are hypercars or megacars.

Recently, TMJ shared images of himself in the driver’s seat of his own Ferrari Monza SP2, a car that his cousin TTJ had revealed just two months prior. Now, there are two of these million-dollar supercars in Malaysia, both in black. TMJ’s car was photographed outside the Johor state headquarters, and he has been very open about his new purchase.

TMJ, the owner of nearly ten hypercars and megacars, has added the Ferrari Monza SP2 to his collection, further showcasing his passion for extraordinary automobiles. Previously, he was often seen driving a Bugatti Chiron Super Sport, one of only sixty in the world, as well as a Bugatti Veyron and several other exclusive cars. However, the Ferrari Monza SP2 belongs to an entirely different league.

The Ferrari Monza SP2 is a unique creation, with the SP1 version offering only a single seat for the driver, while the SP2 model provides an additional seat for a companion. This supercar features an open-top design without a roof, which could present a challenge if the weather suddenly turns rainy.

One of the most intriguing features of the Ferrari Monza SP2 is its virtual windshield, and it also lacks a traditional roof. The design draws inspiration from the Barchetta cars of the past, particularly the 166 MM from 1948 and the 750 Monza from the 1950s. The doors of the Ferrari Monza SP2 open in a scissor-like fashion, making it easier for the driver to enter and exit the vehicle.

While the Ferrari Monza SP2 boasts a classic shape, its “guts” are very much modern, with a V12 engine displacing 6.5 liters borrowed from the Ferrari 812 Superfast. This powerful engine generates a maximum output of 809 horsepower, an increase of 10 horsepower, and a peak torque of 719 Nm, up by 1 Nm compared to the Ferrari 812 Superfast.

With this potent engine, the Ferrari Monza SP2 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and reach 200 km/h in an additional 5 seconds before topping out at a breathtaking 300 km/h.
