Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu’s Ferrari team at the Gumball 3000 car event promises to impress car enthusiasts worldwide with its lineup of 15 “prancing horse” vehicles, down from the initial 28 that Trung Nguyen had hoped for. Among these, the Ferrari Roma is a sure inclusion.
It’s no surprise that the Roma made it into the “Qua” Vu’s Ferrari fleet for the global supercar journey, Gumball 3000. This rare four-seater stands out with its unique design and distinct style from its siblings.
This particular Ferrari Roma supercar was imported by a private company in Hanoi, seeking a buyer. However, it remained unsold until Mr. Vu’s passion for acquiring supercars led to its purchase. The red exterior of the car was only seen twice on the roads before its owner decided to wrap it in silver.
Now, the Ferrari Roma has been decked out with a special livery for its participation in the upcoming Gumball 3000 supercar event, scheduled for September 14-15, 2024, in Vietnam. The route will take the cars through Le Loi Boulevard, Cu Chi Tunnels, and then to the Moc Bai border gate in Tay Ninh province, before crossing into Cambodia.
The Ferrari Roma, unveiled in November 2019, is a brand-new 2+2 Coupe introduced in Rome, Italy, featuring a classic design inspired by the 1950s and 1960s, dubbed “La Dolce Vita” by the Italian supercar maker.
The highlight of the Roma is its additional two seats in the back, along with a vertically oriented infotainment screen. Similar to the Ferrari Portofino, a screen for the front passenger is available as an option.
Powered by a 3.9-liter, turbocharged V8 engine, the four-seater Ferrari Roma delivers 620 horsepower and 760 Nm of torque. This latest 2+2 Coupe from Ferrari is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and features a square-shaped key, reminiscent of the SF90 Stradale.
Despite weighing almost 1.5 tons, the Ferrari Roma’s performance is impressive, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds. It takes an additional 5.9 seconds to reach 200 km/h, and the car can attain a top speed of over 320 km/h.
