On the evening of September 6, 2024, the Gumball 3000 website revealed its 67th entrant for the upcoming supercar rally across 5 ASEAN countries. This entry quickly garnered significant attention as it features a rare megacar, a highlight of this year’s event.
Team 67 will be joining the rally with their Koenigsegg Regera, nicknamed “Honey.” The owner, Dan-Am-i, is a well-known car enthusiast with a collection of over 100 vehicles, including an impressive array of hypercars and megacars. Among his collection are more than 8 Pagani automobiles, but for Gumball 3000 2024, he has chosen the Koenigsegg Regera as his companion.
Dan-Am-i customized his Koenigsegg Regera with a unique “Honey” theme. The exterior boasts exposed carbon fiber with striking blue stripes. The car is also equipped with the expensive Ghost Package, which includes a front bumper and carbon fiber side fins for a more aggressive look.
The Koenigsegg Regera is a limited-edition model, with only 80 units produced globally. The base price starts at $1.9 million, and with the addition of the Ghost Package, the cost rises to $2.1 million. Interestingly, there is already one Koenigsegg Regera in Vietnam, although it bears a Cambodian license plate.
The Koenigsegg Regera is a hybrid supercar, combining a gasoline V8 engine with biturbocharging and a displacement of 5.0 liters, along with three electric motors. This Swedish-made megacar boasts over 1,500 horsepower and delivers a staggering 2,000 Nm of torque.
Dan-Am-i’s Koenigsegg Regera can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 400 km/h. At speeds of 250 km/h, the car can generate downforce of up to 450 kg, ensuring exceptional stability and performance.
