Excitement is building around the Gumball 3000 2024 supercar event as several participating vehicles have quietly arrived in Vietnam via sea and air freight. Consequently, images of a rare million-dollar supercar being transported by plane have sparked intrigue among automotive enthusiasts.
Specifically, the sight of a one-of-a-kind Lamborghini Reventon, a million-dollar supercar, being airlifted has fueled speculation among local car enthusiasts about its potential participation in the Gumball 3000 event in Vietnam.
However, a closer inspection of the Lamborghini lineup for the Gumball 3000 reveals only the Huracan, Aventador, and Urus models, with no hypercars in sight. Therefore, it can be concluded that the rumor of the million-dollar Lamborghini Reventon heading to Vietnam is unfounded.
The Lamborghini Reventon is an exclusive model, with only 20 units produced worldwide. Of these, at least 8 have been spotted in Asia, with Singaporean and Malaysian collectors owning 3 of them. Currently, the Reventon demands a price tag of over $1.5 million.
The Reventon derives its name from a fighting bull, following Lamborghini tradition. The bull, raised by Don Heriberto Rodriguez, gained notoriety for fatally wounding Mexican bullfighter Felix Guzman in 1943.
This Lamborghini pioneer integrates daytime running lights into the headlights. Each headlight features 7 light-emitting diodes (LEDs) encircling the main bi-xenon beam and remains illuminated whenever the car is in motion. Due to the high temperatures generated at the rear of the car, heat-resistant LEDs are employed for the turn signals, hazard lights, brake lights, and taillights, creating a distinctive three-arrow optical effect.
The Reventon’s exterior design laid the foundation for Lamborghini’s subsequent flagship model, the Aventador. Its active rear wing and active air intakes integrated into the shoulders are electronically controlled and automatically deploy at high speeds to maximize aerodynamic efficiency and cooling.
